Every year the "original-grade, matching the original" market becomes a more confusing place for a buyer who is not physically in Shenzhen. Meanwhile the cost of a counterfeit is not the unit price — it is the batch. Price-lock windows: the honest explanation

A price-lock window means the price at quote time holds for a defined window — typically 30 days for passive and memory parts, longer for mature devices. It does not mean a guarantee against force majeure pricing. What it does mean is that we buy the source and the price at the same moment, so your BOM cost is not a moving target while the design is still being finalized. For long-running mass production, we place committed orders against the lock term, which is why our assembly prices stay stable across quarters.
