FAQ
Everything buyers ask before they send a BOM — process, quality, logistics and what happens after the goods arrive.
From RFQ to after-sales — six steps.
RFQ
Send BOM, board data, target quantity and destination. The engineering desk confirms receipt and starts review.
Engineering review
DFM check, component availability, approved alternates, compliance and Incoterms — written quote inside 24–48 h.
Prototype
A 1–100 piece build of the real product on real lines, with first-article inspection and test data.
Quality confirmation
First-article reports, test records and certificate package in hand — you approve, we ramp.
Mass production
Per approved schedule on SPC-monitored lines: 100% electrical test, 100% lot traceability, interim reports optional.
Delivery & after-sales
Export documentation under FOB, CIF or DDP, tracking to door, and RMA with root-cause report if ever needed.

Working with us.
What is your minimum order quantity?
MOQ depends on which line the product runs on. Prototype runs start from 1–100 pieces; volume quotes are priced by setup and panelization, not by a fixed rule. Send a BOM and the desk will state the MOQ for your exact product.
How do I get a quote — and how fast?
Email the BOM and board data to sales@ems-trade.com, or use the contact form. Engineering review plus a written quote lands on your desk inside 24–48 hours.
Do you take on small or early-stage projects?
Yes. Many programs begin as a 1–100 piece prototype run, take first-article approval, then ramp onto the same tooling for volume — no qualification redo.
Can you source the components for us?
Yes — the sourcing desk buys original-only parts through verified channels, locks the price per quotation, and proposes approved alternates before a part becomes a problem, not after.
What do you need from us to start?
A BOM (refdes, MPN, manufacturer, quantity, footprint), board data in Gerber or EDA format, target quantity, destination and Incoterms, plus any compliance or certificates your market requires. For box builds, add the mechanical CAD.
Quality engineering.
Which IPC standards do you build to?
IPC-A-610 Class 3 acceptance criteria, IPC J-STD-001 for soldering, and IPC-6012 for the bare PCBs — applied the same way across all six network plants, not plant by plant.
What testing is included?
Depends on your test plan: AOI after reflow, electrical test to plan (ICT or FCT), burn-in for power and battery programs. The contract always states 100% testing plus full traceability of the lot.
Which certifications does the network hold?
ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, an ISO 13485-ready framework, IATF 16949 for automotive, plus CE, FCC, UKCA, RoHS/REACH and UN38.3 for the products we ship. Scope documents are shared during qualification.
What happens if a batch arrives defective?
The lot traces back to operator, shift and equipment — usually within one working day. Claims follow the contract: root-cause report, corrective action and replacement or credit, never a credit note alone.
Do you inspect incoming material?
Incoming QC inspects every lot: COC verification, authenticity checks along the supply chain, certificate validation and visual checks before anything touches a line.
Logistics and terms.
Which shipping methods do you use?
Air freight for portable or urgent programs, sea freight (FCL) for volume, and LCL/groupage for smaller shipments — planned with your order, not left to chance at the dock.
Who handles customs and export documents?
The export desk: HS classification, declarations, packing lists, certificates of origin and restricted-substance documentation. DDP extends this with duty payment and brokerage through to your door.
Where do shipments leave from?
FOB Shenzhen — shipments consolidate from Shenzhen and the surrounding Guangdong network. The quote states each leg so you can compare your own freight rates.
Can I choose DDP to my own warehouse?
Yes. DDP programs book the freight, clear customs and deliver to your door — the same route we run for the European warehouse programs.
After-sales, email and payment.
What after-sales support do overseas customers get?
One point of contact at the export desk, RMA handling with root-cause report, and lot archives that let us reconstruct a build long after it shipped.
How are warranty claims handled?
Warranty terms come from the order agreement. Every claim is traceable to a lot; corrections follow the contract and the QC gate documentation is attached to the root-cause report.
What is the best way to reach you?
sales@ems-trade.com, or +86 135 5490 1506. Every enquiry gets an engineering answer within 24–48 hours — including the ones that end up being a polite no.
Do you accept payment terms beyond T/T?
Yes — L/C for larger orders. The standard is T/T 30% prepaid and 70% before shipment; final terms are always stated in the quotation.
Ask before you quote.
If the answer is not here, the engineering desk is one email away — replies inside 24–48 hours.
